Brewer Street is a shopping street in the
Soho area of
London. It is a narrow one-way street running from west to east. It starts at the junction with Glasshouse St and ends at Wardour St. Only one lane of traffic can pass comfortably at one time.
For this walking tour, please feel free to print out this page and bring it with you when you walk. Along the way it intersects with Air St, Sherwood St, Lower James St, Bridle Ln, Great Pulteney St, Lexington St and Rupert St, among others.
Our Walking Tour of Brewer Street
At the start of Brewer St, where it meets Glasshouse St, you clan see that Brewer St is lined by food and beverage outlets. At the junction of Glasshouse St and Brewer St is a pub called The Glassblower. On your left is The Warwick, another drinking place. Further you, you see sushi bars, cafés and a chocolate shop.
Where Brewer St intersects Lower James St, there's a pub called The Crown before the junction and a café Caffè Nero after it. Across the road is the Whole Foods Market, with a massage place called Relax Soho. There's another pub at the junction of Brewer St and Great Windmill St called Duke of Argyll. Further down the street, we pass by the entrance to St James's Residences to our right.
Green Ct. is just a narrow alley to our left, next to Lina Stores. Further down, we come across the only bookshop (that I noticed so far) along Brewer St, called Soho's Book Shop, on our left. It is across the junction of Rupert St. We have almost reached the end of Brewer Street here. It terminates at a junction with Wardour St, which is also a one-way street heading north. Vehicles have to turn right at the end of Brewer St to Waldour St.
