Earl's Court Station (GPS: 51.49156, -0.19395) is a London Underground station located between Earl's Court Road and Warwick Road, on the boundary of Travelcard Zone 1 and 2, and is in both zones. It is in the
Earl's Court neighbourhood, within the
Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
The station is served by the Piccadilly Line between
Barons Court Tube Station and
Gloucester Road Tube Station. It is also a major junction for the District Line, with the subway trains departing for
West Brompton Tube Station,
Kensington (Olympia) Tube Station and
West Kensington Tube Station to the west, and the
High Street Kensington Tube Station to the north, and
Gloucester Road Tube Station to the east.
Earl's Court Tube Station dates back to its opening in 1869 as part of the Metropolitan District Railway. The station is a Grade II heritage building, due to its architectural and historical value.
