Forest Hill is a neighbourhood of the London Borough of Lewisham. The area got its name from the forest on
Sydenham Hill which is part of the Great North Wood. It was indeed a forested area until it was developed in the mid 19th century. Forest Hill is mostly residential today. From the top, you can get very nice views of the City of London.
The one interesting sight in Forest Hill is the
Horniman Museum, a museum with the largest collection of taxidermy in the northern hemisphere.
How to reach Forest Hill
There are trains to the Forest Hill Railway Station from London Bridge Railway Station.
