Hounslow East Station (GPS: 51.47303, -0.35649) is a station of the London Underground in Hounslow, in the
London Borough of Hounslow. The station is located at the junction of Kingsley Road with Stirling Grove, in Travelcard Zone 4. It is served by the Heathrow branch of the
Piccadilly Line between the
Osterley Tube Station (heading towards
Cockfosters Tube Station) and
Hounslow Central Tube Station (heading towards
Heathrow Airport Terminals 4 or
5).
Hounslow East Tube Station has one of the most unusual station buildings of the London Underground network. It is one of the more modern stations of the line replacing an earlier station building from 1909. The new station comprises a pair of atriums with sloping roofs, on either sides of the railway tracks which crosses Kingley Road.
