The
Northern Line of the
London Underground comprises 50 stations over a distance of 58 km (36 miles). It is the most heavily used line of the London Underground system, carrying over 200 million passengers per year.
The Northern Line began as three separate railway companies that were combined in the 1920's and 30's.
