Royal Tank Regiment Memorial, London


Royal Tank Regiment Memorial is a monument at the junction between Whitehall Place and Whitehall Court in the City of Westminster, London. It was sculptured by Vivien Mallock based on the miniature crafted by George Henry Paulin. It was unveiled by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, as Colonel in Chief of the Royal Tank Regiment, on 13 June, 2000.

The Royal Tank Regiment Memorial depicts the five crewmen of the World War II Comet tank. They comprise the commander, gunner, loader, hull machine gunner and driver. The memorial celebrates the comradeship among the five men.

How to reach Royal Tank Regiment Memorial

Take the Bakerloo Line, Circle Line, District Line or Northern Line to the Embankment Tub Station and walk from there.
