West Kensington, London


West Kensington is a neighbourhood on the western part of Central London. Much of it is located within the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham with a smaller portion within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

West Kensington is bounded by Shepherd's Bush to the north, Fulham to the south, Kensington to the east and Brook Green and Hammersmith Road to the west. Most of the houses in this area are Victorian terraced houses. Many are excellent examples of Victorian architecture.

West Kensington has enjoyed a spillover effect from the affluent Kensington area. This has brought with it many new specialty stores and eateries.

How to reach West Kensington

The West Kensington area is served by a number of London Underground station within a short walking distance of five to fifteen minutes. Among them include the West Kensington Tube Station, Barons Court Tube Station, High Street Kensington Tube Station, Hammersmith Tube Station, Shepherd's Bush Tube Station and Holland Park Tube Station.
