Westfield Stratford City Shopping Centre is a massive shopping mall in
Stratford, in the
London Borough of Newham. The £1.5 billion shopping centre opened on 14 September 2011, becoming the biggest shopping centre in Europe, and pushing

Westfield Stratford City will have a total retail floor space of 1.5 million square feet (177,000 sq m). The anchor tenant will be a John Lewis Department Store, which will occupy 240,000 sq ft (22,000 sq m) of the mall. Other anchor tenants will include a 200,000 sq ft (19,000 sq m) Marks and Spencer department store and a 32,000 sq ft (3,000 sq m) Waitrose Supermarket. There will be about 300 stores at Westfield Stratford City including Boots, Esprit, Forever 21, H&M, Next, Topshop and WHSmith.
In addition to the stores, there will be two hotels at Westfield Stratford City. They are the 188-key Holiday Inn London-Stratford City and the 162-key Staybridges Suites London-Stratford City. In addition, there will be office space at Stratford Place, The Square and First Avenue, among others.
The opening of the stores and hotels at Westfield Stratford City are timed to be ready ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games, happening at the
