Whitechapel Tube Station

Whitechapel Station (GPS: 51.51948, -0.05969) is a station of the London Underground in Whitechapel, in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, in Travelcard Zone 2. The station is served by the District Line and the Hammersmith & City Line, both between Aldgate East Tube Station and Stepney Green Tube Station. It is also served by the London Overground's East London Line, between the Shoreditch High Street Railway Station and the Shadwell Railway Station.

Whitechapel Tube Station first opened in 1876 for the East London Railway. The London Overground section of the station underwent refurbishing from 2007 to 2010.
