It is located in Travelcard Zone 2, within 300 meters of the Bow Church DLR Station of the Docklands Light Railway.
The Bow Road Tube Station is served by the District Line and Hammersmith & City Line, both between the Mile End Tube Station and Bromley-by-Bow Tube Station. The station began operations in 1902 for the Whitechapel and Bow Railway, which is the precursor of the District Line. The Metropolitan Line, precursor of the Hammersmith & City Line, began services here in 1936.
