Camden Town Station (GPS: 51.5394, -0.14266) is a station of the London Underground in Camden Town. It is served by the Northern Line, which comprises two branches - one going between Chalk Farm Tube Station and Mornington Crescent Tube Station, and the other between Kentish Town Tube Station and Euston Tube Station. The station is located to the west of the Camden Road Railway Station, which is served by the North London Line between Kentish Town West Railway Station and Caledonian Road & Barnsbury Railway Station.
The Camden Town Tube Station is one of the busiest stations of the London Underground, serving close to 20 million people in 2008. It gets very crowded due to high volume of tourists visiting Camden Market and Camden High Street. This is especially so during weekends. To prevent it getting overcrowded, entry is prohibited on Sunday afternoons.
As the situation is expected to worsen, plans are afoot to rebuild the station. However, there has been an outcry over the plans, as it requires the demolition of buildings that will affect the character of Camden Town. As of time of writing, the original remodelling plans have been rejected, but Transport for London has not yet proposed an alternative scheme.

Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
