The Finchley Road Tube Station is served by the Jubilee Line and the Metropolitan Line. On the Jubilee Line, it is between West Hampstead Tube Station (heading towards Stanmore) and Swiss Cottage Tube Station (heading towards Stratford). On the Metropolitan Line it is the Wembley Park Tube Station (heading towards Amersham, Chesham, Uxbridge or Watford) and Baker Street Tube Station (terminating at Baker Street or heading towards Aldgate Tube Station).
Finchley Road Tube Station began operations in 1879 for the Metropolitan Railway, the precursor of today's Metropolitan Line. The old station is now gone. It was replaced with the present station in 1914. In 1939, the station was also served by the Bakerloo Line until 1979, when the service was transferred to the Jubilee Line.

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
