Handball Arena is one of the five main components of the London Olympic Park, the venue of the 2012 London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. Unlike the other venues of the Games, the Handball Arena has a plain design. It will have a seating capacity of 6,000 to 7,000 spectators.
In addition to handball, the arena will also be used for modern pentathlon fencing and shooting during the Olympic Games and for goalball during the Paralympic Games.

After the Games are over, the Handball Arena will be renovated so that it can be used by the public as a multi-sport arena. Athletes will also be able to use it for training and for small to medium scale sporting events.
The Handball Arena is the only permanent indoor area from the original masterplan that was retained in the Olympic Park. The revised masterplan published in 2006 moved volleyball event to Earls Court Exhibition Centre. The Basketball Arena, while presently sited within the Olympic Park, will be dismantled and reassembled elsewhere in the United Kingdom after the Games.
Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
