Holborn Station, London

Holborn Station (GPS: 51.51741, -0.12001) is a station of the London Underground in Holborn, London. It is located at the junction of High Holborn and Kingsway. The station is served by the Piccadilly Line, between the Covent Garden Tube Station and Russell Square Tube Station, and the Central Line, between the Tottenham Court Road Tube Station and the Chancery Lane Tube Station. The Holborn Tube Station is within Travelcard Zone 1.

The Holborn Tube Station was first opened in 1906 for the then Great Northern, Piccadilly and Brompton Railway. At that time, it was known as Holborn (Kingsway). The name Kingsway was only dropped from the name in the 1960's.
