Horse Guards Road is a prominent street in central London running along the western edge of St James's Park, forming part of the boundary between the park and the government district of Whitehall. It runs roughly north to south, beginning at The Mall to the north and ending at Birdcage Walk to the south. The road lies entirely within the City of Westminster.

Horse Guards Road connects to several key streets:- The Mall at its northern end, providing a grand route to Buckingham Palace.
- Birdcage Walk at its southern end, which leads westward towards Buckingham Gate and eastward towards Parliament Square.
- Horse Guards Avenue, a short but important connecting street leading east to Whitehall and the Horse Guards Parade.
- King Charles Street, located just off the southeast side of Horse Guards Road, connects to Whitehall and features government buildings like the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
