The London Borough of Merton is a borough of Greater London located in southwestern London. The borough covers 37.61 sq km (14.5 sq mi) and has a population of 202,000 (2011 estimate), of which White British accounts for 61%.

The London Borough of Merton is the location of Wimbledon, where the annual tennis tournament is held. It is one of the four major tennis tournaments, collectively known as the Grand Slam. Another landmark of Merton is the Baitul Futuh Mosque. Built in 2003 at a cost of £5.5 million, it is the largest mosque in Europe.

How to reach Merton

The London Borough of Merton is served by the Northern Line and District Line of the London Underground. Among the stations here include Colliers Wood, South Wimbledon, Morden, Wimbledon Park and Wimbledon tube stations.
