Old Street Station (GPS: 51.52566, -0.08754) is a London Underground station within the Old Street Railway Station. It is located at the junction of Old Street and City Road, to the north of the
City of London, between the
London Borough of Islington and
London Borough of Hackney. Located in Travelcard Zone 1, the subway station is served by the
Northern Line between
Angel Tube Station and
Moorgate Tube Station.
The Old Street Railway Station is served by the National Rail's Northern City Line, operated by First Capital Connect, with trains passing it between the Moorgate Railway Station and Essex Road Railway Station.
Old Street Station does not have a ground-level station building. Users have to take stairs or ramp to reach the station entrance, which is part of a subterranean shopping mall under the Old Street Roundabout. The Old Street Railway Station Building was demolished when the roundabout was built.
