Oval Station (GPS: 51.48202, -0.11279) is a station of the London Underground in the London Borough of Lambeth. It got its name from the Brit Oval, the international cricket ground in Kennington. It is one of two stations with just four letters to its name - the other one being the Bank Tube Station.

Oval Tube Station is on the Northern Line between the Kennington Tube Station and Stockwell Tube Station, on Travelcard Zone 2. It is on the intersection of four roads, Kennington Park Road, Camberwell New Road, Clapham Road and Harleyford Street. Among the sights in its vicinity include Kennington Park and St Mark's Church.
Oval Tube Station dates to 18 December 1890 when the line opened for the City & South London Railway. It was rebuilt in the 1920's with the modernisation of the line. In 2007-2008 it underwent refurbishment with a new tiling scheme, to give it a more modern appearance.
Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
