Snaresbrook Station (GPS: 51.58096, 0.02151) is a station of the London Underground in the London Borough of Redbridge. It is in Travelcard Zone 4. It is served by the Central Line between Leytonstone Tube Station and South Woodford Tube Station. The station can be access from Wanstead High Street. There is a flight of steps going up to the station level. The railway tracks are carried across High Street by an overpass.
The Snaresbrook Tube Station dates back to 1856, when it opened for the Eastern Counties Railway. The Central Line only started serving the station in 1947, after long delays since 1935.
The station building of the Snaresbrook Tube Station was built in the Victorian style. It has a brick finish with generous use of cas iron and timber for its canopies.
