West Brompton is a area of London within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It centres on the
West Brompton Tube Station, and bounded by West Kensington and
Earl's Court to the north, Fulham Broadway to the southy, Chelsea to the east and Fulham to the west. Originally contiguous with Brompton to the east, West Brompton is today separated by the neighbourhoods of
South Kensington and Earl's Court which have developed between them.
The most notable sight in West Brompton is the Brompton Cemetery. Originally known as the West of London and Westminster Cemetery, it is today more a public park than a place of burial, although there are still occasional new burials done there.
