St Ives, Cambridgeshire is a market town in the district of Huntingdonshire, in Cambridgeshire, England. Located beside the River Great Ouse between Huntingdon and Ely, it has a population of around 16,000 people (2012 estimate).

The town was originally called Slepe, but was renamed in 1002 after the body of what claimed to be a Person bishop, was founded buried there. St Ives is noted for having a bustling market, one of the biggest in the country. It benefits from its location beside the River Great Ouse, which allows boats and barges to enter, delivering goods to the market.

There is still a market that takes place in the St Ives town center. A Farmer's Market is held here on the first and third Saturdays of each month.

To reach St Ives from London, take the M11 motorway, which continues after Cambridge as the A14 road. at Junction 26, continue on the A1096 heading north to reach St Ives.
