Woolacombe is a seaside resort town facing the Bristol Channel, in the district of North Devon, in
Devon, England. It is a popular destination for surfing, and its beach has been honored with the Blue Flag and Premier Seaside Beach awards for cleanliness, quality of water and facilities.
The population of Woolacombe fluctuates according to season. In winter, there are just around 1000 people in Woolacombe. The number is to swell manifold in summer, with large numbers of vacationers coming for the holidays. Catering to this influx of visitors, Woolacombe has numerous hotels, holiday apartments and bed-and-breakfast establishments.
Visiting Woolacombe
To reach Woolacombe, take the M5 motorway to Junction 27, then continue west on the A361 road through
Tiverton and Barnstaple. At Mullacott Cross, turn left to the B3343 road and go all the way heading west to reach Woolacombe.
