Beaumaris Castle,
Harlech Castle and the fortresses of
Caernarfon Castle and
Conwy Castle are World Heritage Sites in Gwynedd, North Wales. They were built during the reign of King Edward I (1272-1307). They are just four of the many castles that Edward I built or rebuilt in Wales during his reign. The others include Aberystwyth, Beaumaris, Builth, Flint, Rhuddlan, Ruthin, Castell y Bere, Criccieth, Dolwyddelan and Hope.
