Gold Teeth Sculpture, Queen Street, George Town, Penang (11 May 2013)

The
"Gold Teeth" Sculpture (GPS: 5.41895, 100.33958) is a steel-rod sculpture installed on a wall in
Queen Street, George Town. It celebrates the Indian goldsmiths that once plied their trade all along Queen Street.
The "Gold Teeth" Sculpture depicts the interaction between a goldsmith and a typical Penang Nyonya, who wanted the goldsmith to turn her gold tooth into a ring, much to his bewilderment. The sculpture was based on the caricature of
Tang Mun Kian, and was among the final batch of sculptures installed under Marking George Town.
