Green Garden (GPS: 5.398281, 100.309853), not to be confused with
Green Garden Apartment, is a housing estate in
Green Lane, Penang. Also known as
Taman Green Lane and
Taman Hijau, it was developed in the early 60s, when urban development begins to sprawl out of George Town. The area has mostly one-storey link houses, many of which have been renovated with an additional storey.
Green Garden is bordered by
Jalan Hamilton to the north,
Jalan Van Praagh to the northeast and
Jalan Sir Ibrahim to the east. To the west is
Convent Green Lane and the
Malaysian Buddhist Meditation Centre while to the south is
Mewah Court Apartment.
