Grove Road, or Jalan Grove, is a minor road in the outer fringes of George Town. It was developed out of plantation land in the post-war years of the mid 20th century from former plantation land, when the city of George Town was expanding outwards.

Grove Road links Ayer Itam Road to Batu Lanchang Lane via Ibbetson Road. It is best recognised as the road located immediately after the Penang State Mosque, if you are coming up Ayer Itam Road from George Town.

Among the sights along Grove Road include the Chung Hwa Confucian Primary School, the Malaysian Red Crescent Society and the St John Ambulans Malaysia. Grove Road emerges at Batu Lanchang Lane just north of the field of the Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Technical Secondary School.

Getting there

The nearest bus stop is along Jalan Air Itam, 10-15 minutes' walk from Grove Road. The bus stop is served by Rapid Penang bus 201, 202, 203, 204, 306 and 502.
