Hai Boey Seafood, Teluk Kumbar, Penang (16 October 2019)
Hai Boey Seafood (GPS: 5.28264, 100.21772; Chinese: 海尾海鲜; Pinyin: Hǎi Wěi Hǎixiān;
Penang Hokkien: Hai1 Boey4 Hai1sien1) is a
seafood restaurant in
Pasir Belanda, in
Teluk Kumbar, Penang. It's name translates roughly as "land's end", for it is located on the southwestern part of Penang, on the headland protruding into the sea. The restaurant is by the seaside, so patrons can enjoy a view of the sea, and perhaps go for a stroll after their meal.
Hai Boey Seafood serves a variety of shellfish such as crabs, mussels, clams and so on, along with cuttlefish, prawns and other crustaceans. It operates in the evening, as the sun goes down. Nice view of the beach and Gertak Sanggul hills especially at sunset. Food is reasonably priced, however, I don't find it really special, despite recommendation from my friends.
