Herriot Street, George Town, at junction with McNair Street (2 December 2008)
Herriot Street (Malay: Lebuh Herriot;
Penang Hokkien: Pek3-Tiau3 Lor33

) is one of the parallel streets after the
Prangin Canal. It links
McNair Street with
Jalan Gurdwara (
Brick Kiln Road), between
Nanking Road and
Sandilands Street.
Herriot Street was named after 19th century British merchant
Stuart Herriot, who wrote on behalf of Kapitan China Chung Keng Kwee a petition to the British to intervene in the warfare that erupted in the tin mines of Larut. The intervention led to the creation of
Taiping and
Kamunting.
