This year's theme is Journey into the Year of Blooming Abundance with DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang With that, the hotel's main dining outlet, Makan Kitchen was all geared up to offer a plethora of dining options. They include the resort's own version of authentic Chinese cuisine with a mouth-watering arrey of dishes.

Preview of Year of Blooming Abundance, DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang's Chinese New Year offerings

My wife and I joined social media influencers in launching the buffet last night, 4 January, 2019. The preview was held at Makan Kitchen, the hotel's signature dining outlet. When we arrived, the whole place has been prepared with a host of dishes. There was a wide selection of Chinese dishes created specially for Chinese New Year, and in addition to that, there was also Malay and Indian cuisine, along with Western food and even some Japanese food.

When we were done with the savoury items, we indulged our sweet tooth with a wide selection of desserts, cakes, pastries and the resort's own homemade ice-cream. It was a delightful time trying out the various dishes, and we were so grateful to the resort for having invited us.
