Rooms at DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang

DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang offers three different categories of rooms. They are all sleekly furnished, and in keeping with the DoubleTree tradition, there is a Baba Nyonya motif to the deco, to give the rooms a decidedly local touch.

The rooms at DoubleTree Penang include the regular rooms, suites and accessible rooms. With the regular room category, they include the Guest Rooms, Deluxe Rooms and Family Rooms. In the DoubleTree nomenclature, the term "Guest Room" denotes the entry level room, corresponding to the "Standard Room" in other hotels. All rooms and suites carry toiletries from Crabtree & Evelyn.

During my tour of the hotel, I had the opportunity of reviewed the following rooms. Among the special features I come across is that, some rooms have a common hallway, so that guests may book both rooms. In such a case, the guests are provided the key to the door of the common hallway.

Guest Rooms

Amenities of the Guest Room include Wifi, 40-inch television, refrigerator and a sofa bed. That way, it easily accommodates families with child. The bathroom has a walk-in shower.

Amenities of the Deluxe Room are similar to that of the Guest Rooms, with the addition of a private balcony, sundeck chairs and partial or full sea views.

Suites

There is a large number of suites at DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang. They include the King One Bedroom Suite - Balcony, King One Bedroom Suite - Seaview and Balcony, King Terrace Suite - Seaview, Presidential Terrace Suite - Two Bedroom, and Two Bedroom Family Suite - Terrace and Seaview. Suites enjoy additional spaciousness with bathrooms equiped with bathtub and shower.
