Selera Kampung is a dinner buffet at Golden Sands Resort by Shangri-La for May 2019. It is held Mondays to Saturdays from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. The buffet is priced at RM98nett adult and RM49nett child. There is a Buy 1 Get 1 Free offer applicable to adult pricing not applicable on the eve of public holidays and public holidays.

Preview of Selera Kampung Buffet Dinner

My wife and I had the chance to sample the Selera Kampung Buffet Dinner at a preview held at Golden Sands Resort on 3 May, 2019. When we arrived, we saw that some of the guests have already started eating. So we quickly take photographs before the dishes were dug into.

The highlight for the evening is without a doubt the Ayam Pasu. This is chicken grilled over pots of charcoal. The result is deliciously grilled chicken meat that goes well with various accompanying condiments.

In addition to Ayam Pasu, there is also roasted lamb, grilled seafood, various traditional Malay dishes and kuih. These are mainly the work of the hotel's new Executive Sous Chef, Rizal Masir, who has over twenty-five years of culinary experience working for various hotels and restaurants in Malaysia and other countries.
