Chinese New Year Buffet Food Review
My wife and I were delighted to have the opportunity to try out the Hard Rock Hotel Penang's buffet dinner at their Starz Diner on 19 January, 2018. When we arrived, we saw that the dining hall has been beautifully decked out with antique Nyonya porcelain. Taking pride of place were the three figurines of Fu Lu Shou.
We met up with our other friends from the print and social media, and we took our seats, which were arranged into two rows. After we have had a chance to take photograph of all the food available, we all joined in to toss the Yee Sang, and start the dinner.
The food prepared by Hard Rock Hotel Penang's Chinese Cuisine Chef was both beautiful and tasty. Just take a look at the photos below. I love the Phoon Choy, or Basin of Abundance, which is a luxurious dish with expensive seafood items. There was also various savoury dishes and not forgetting, a variety of Chinese New Year cookies. Rather than repeating what you can find on the above menus, let me now show you the food we enjoyed.

Hard Rock Hotel Penang's Chinese New Year food, in my opinion, is very well presented and tasty. It is a joy for my wife and me, and we thank the hotel for having given us the opportunity to enjoy it.

About this website
Dear visitor, thank you so much for reading this page. My name is Timothy Tye and my hobby is to find out about places, write about them and share the information with you on this website. I have been writing this site since 5 January 2003. Originally (from 2003 until 2009, the site was called AsiaExplorers. I changed the name to Penang Travel Tips in 2009, even though I describe more than just Penang but everywhere I go (I often need to tell people that "Penang Travel Tips" is not just information about Penang, but information written in Penang), especially places in Malaysia and Singapore, and in all the years since 2003, I have described over 20,000 places.
While I try my best to provide you information as accurate as I can get it to be, I do apologize for any errors and for outdated information which I am unaware. Nevertheless, I hope that what I have described here will be useful to you.
