Experiencing Hotel Ixora Prai

Ixora Hotel Penang (15 July 2017)


Ixora Hotel Prai is a hotel in Prai Jaya, just next to Megamal Pinang. It had its official opening on 14 December, 2011. My wife and I had the pleasure of doing a review stay here on 14-16 September, 2017. We arrived late Friday evening - we had to attend another function on Penang Island and after that, the journey across the Penang Bridge was slow due to an accident - but upon arrival, we were warmly received by the Guest Relation Officers, Mr Adrien Tan and Miss Caris Bu who both ushered us to our room and introduced its amenities to us.

The next, we had a lovely breakfast at The Straits Cafe, which is the main f&b outlet of the hotel. It has a huge selection of items to choose for breakfast, from cold cuts and cheeses to nasi lemak, porridge, bread and pastries, dim sum, noodles and more. There is also an egg station where you can order your eggs, as well as ready-to-take half-boiled eggs.

After our breakfast, we were met by Miss Apple Chou, the secretary, and Miss Shawn Leong, the Marketing Executive, and were taken on a tour of the rooms and facilities of the hotel. We visited the different types of rooms, and also checked out the gym, swimming pool, splash pool, a porch where we took a group shot. We also visited the various function rooms, with our final stop at the grand ballroom.

On our first night, we get to enjoy the Executive Room. On our second night, we moved down to the Superior King with Swimming Pool Access. Here are photos from our stay.

We had a marvellous stay and register our thanks to Ixora Hotel Penang for the stay, and to its staff for their hospitality.
