Chinese New Year Buffets & Course Dinners at Olive Tree Hotel Penang (11 January 2017)

It's going to be the Year of the Rooster 2017, and Olive Tree Hotel Penang is all geared up to usher in the new year with a line of buffets. To give the buffet a kick start, the hotel has invited my wife and me to join foodie bloggers to a preview of the food.

We were warmly greeted by Miss Jennifer Low, the Marketing & Communications Manager of Olive Tree Hotel, and was joined by Miss Siti Nadia, the Marketing & Communications Executive. For a more intimate dinner, the hotel has planned the preview to just one table, so that the guests get to interact closely among themselves.

There will be buffets as well as course dinners at Olive Tree Hotel during the Chinese New Year season, with reduced price for child aged 5-12 and senior aged 55 and above.

Lunar New Year Eve (27 January, Friday, from 7:00pm)
The dinner on Lunar New Year Eve is priced at RM138+ adult, RM78+ child and RM88+ senior. Guests may also opt for the 8-course dinner, which comes with two bottles of red wine, is priced at RM1,288+ per table.

Lunar New Year Day 1 & 2 (28 & 29 January, Saturday & Sunday)
On the first two days of Chinese New Year, the hotel will have buffet luncheon and dinner. The luncheons, which start at 12:00noon, are priced at RM88+ adult, RM48+ child and RM58+ senior, with a Buy 5 Free 1 applicable to adults only. The dinners, which start at 6:30pm, are priced at RM108+ adult, RM58+ child and RM68+ senior. The hotel offers a 15% discount for the buffet reservations if full payment is received before 20 January, 2017, adults only.

Throughout the Chinese New Year season, Olive Tree Hotel has prepared celebratory course lunches and dinners which suitable for businesses. The 7-course dinner is priced at RM738 nett per table, while the 8-course dinner is priced at RM888 nett per table. As an addition, there is also the Olive Tree Salmon Yee Sang Platter, priced at RM98+ per set. Advance booking is required for these dinners and yee sang platter.
