To usher in the auspicious Lunar New Year 2018, Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa, Penang and Golden Sands Resort, Penang will serve an array of Chinese New Year specialities and the traditional Yee Sang on the eve of and on Chinese New Year's Day. This year, Executive Chef Lim Soon Leong and his kitchen brigade have specially prepared something a little different to welcome the new year.

On Chinese New Year's Eve, Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa's signature restaurant, Spice Market Café, will feature a Reunion Buffet Dinner at RM238 nett, at RM119 nett for children below 12 years old and free for children below 6 years old.

On Chinese New Year's Day, Spice Market Café features a Chinese New Year's Buffet Brunch priced at RM188 nett; at RM94 nett for children below 12 years old and free for children below 6 years old. The brunch will be served from noon to 3 p.m. includes free-flowing spiced drinks.

The Chinese New Year's Day Buffet Dinner is priced at RM238 nett, at RM119 nett for children below 12 years old and free for children below 6 years old. Guests can expect a special selection of seafood on ice, a sushi and sashimi station, Asian and Continental appetisers and salads, a tandoori station, a spread of Western dishes, carvings with Giant Pearl Grouper, Oriental dishes, a noodle station by a 'Ramen' chef and desserts featuring a wide selection of sweet and savoury styles, plus many scrumptious decadent treats.

The Pinang Restaurant & Bar features a Chinese New Year Buffet on the eve, first and second day of the Chinese New Year. Dinner on Chinese New Year's Eve is priced at RM188 nett, at RM94 nett for children below 12 years old and free for children below 6 years old.

On the second day of the Chinese New Year, Spice Market Café offers a Chinese New Year Buffet Dinner at RM238 nett, at RM119 nett for children below 12 years old and free for children below 6 years old.

Over at Golden Sands Resort, Garden Café, with its recently increased space and seating capacity, will feature a Reunion Buffet Dinner on the eve of the Chinese New Year and a Reunion Set Dinner. The former includes a glass of mocktail and entertainment by the modern Chinese orchestra, SHUANG Modern Chinese Music Band. The Reunion Buffet

Dinner is priced at RM168 nett, at RM84 nett for children below 12 years old and free for children below 6 years old. The eight-course Reunion Set Dinner is priced at RM1,288 nett for a table of 10 persons and includes two bottles of red wine.

On Chinese New Year's Day, Garden Café will feature the Fatt Choy Happiness Lunch at RM128 nett and free for children below 12 years old. On the same evening, Sigi's Bar & Grill will offer a Prosperity BBQ Buffet Dinner at RM168 nett, at RM84 nett for children below 12 years old and free for children below 6 years old. Diners will be entertained by the modern Chinese orchestra, SHUANG Modern Chinese Music Band.

On the second day of the Chinese New Year, Garden Café will offer the Fatt Choy Happiness Lunch at RM128 nett and free for children below 12 years old. For dinner, Garden Café will feature the Fortune Seafood Buffet Dinner at RM168 nett with a glass of mocktail, at RM84 for children below 12 years old and free for children below 6 years old. Entertainment will be provided by the modern Chinese orchestra, SHUANG Modern Chinese Music Band.
