FIP's Got Talent Singing Competition is a competition at Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa. It is jointly organised by the resort with Maverick Media Productions. FIP stands for Fun, Interactive, Play, and is the acronym of the F.I.P. Lounge at the resort. Participation is open to solo and duo performers. There are cash prizes and holiday stays at Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa as well as at other Shangri-La properties awaiting the winners.

This contest is open to Malaysian contestants aged 16 to 49 years old. For those who are interested, there will be online auditions between 5 June to 9 July, 2017. Participants are required to submit their audition video in the style of a 2- to 3-minute singing performance prepared specially for the qualifying round. Each video performance must be either by solo or duo. At the audition stage, entries will be judged purely on vocal quality, pitch and tone.

Only 36 contestants from the pool of entries received during the audition stage will be selected for three elimination rounds comprising three heats scheduled on 30 July, 13 August and 27 August 2017. The grand final is on 10 September 2017, which will have 12 entrants of a mixture of solo and duo performers vying to be crowned champion, first and second runner-up. The heats and final will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at F.I.P. Lounge. Judging criteria for every heat includes vocal quality, pitch and tone, stage performance and costume.

"The grand final offers a twist to the standard singing competition format. Every solo or duo is required to perform a song of their own choice and a second song later as a duet. Each duet partner will be picked randomly at the end of the third heat, so competitors will have ample time to prepare themselves before the grand final," said Suleiman Tunku Abdul Rahman, the resort's director of communications. The song choice for the duet will be at the contestants' discretion.
