On my recent visit to
Royale Chulan Penang, I was taken on a tour of the guest rooms and suites of the hotel. Royale Chulan Penang has a surprisingly high number of rooms. On this page, I want to show you the rooms which I visited.
Superior Room
The Superior Room measures 28 sqm. This is the entry-level guest room. With a total of 131, it is the most numerous in the hotel. The Superior Rooms come in various combinations including King Bed, Twin Bed and Hollywood Twin for rooms with city and carpark view, and King Bed, Twin Bed and Handicap for pool view rooms.

Deluxe Room
The Deluxe Rooms have a similar layout as the Superior Rooms, except that, it has a balcony instead of windows. With the balcony, its total floor area comes to 37 sqm. There is a total of 23 units of Deluxe Rooms, of which 19 are with King Beds and 4 with Twin Beds.

Family Suite
The Family Suite is the only suite with two bedrooms, one with a King-size bed and another with a Single bed. There is a total of 6 Family Suites, each with a floor area of 52 sqm.

Deluxe Suite
The Deluxe Suite is the second largest room type in the hotel. There are only three units, all of them on the 2nd floor. The uniqueness of the Deluxe Suite is that it has a sliding door for access to the outdoor patio which is connected to the swimming pool area. The Deluxe Suite has a floor area of 68 sqm, and each is furnished with a King-size bed and a bathtub.

Executive Suite
The Executive Suite, numbering 4 in total, has a floor area of 67 sqm. Each is furnished with a King-size bed as well as a bathtub.

Boustead Suite
There is only one unit of Boustead Suite. It measures 67 sqm, and is furnished with a King-size bed and a bathtub.

Penang Suite
The Penang Studio Suite is the second most expensive suite in the hotel, even though it is only 57 sqm. Located on the Attic level, it affords the best views of the Penang Harbour. There is only one unit of this suite. It is furnished with a King-size bed and a bathtub.

Royale Suite
The Royale Suite is the biggest and most expensive suite in Royale Chulan Penang. It measures 129 sqm. The suite has separate bedroom, living room and dining room area. There is one unit of this suite. It is located on the 5th floor of the hotel. The suite is furnished with a King-size bed and bathtub.
