Vistana Penang 2017 Complimentary Stay

It has been some three years since my wife and I did a stay at Vistana Hotel. So it is with much joy that the hotel invited us back for a new 3-day 2-night review stay on 7-9 April, 2017.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we were warmly greeted by Mr Wayne Lee, the general manager, who personally ushered us to our room. This time around, we were given an Executive Suite, a gorgeous room with curving walls. It affords splendid views of Bukit Jambul and Bayan Baru. Seen from the 17th level of the hotel, the surroundings were so green and beautiful.

Our Executive Room comprises three separate chambers. The first is the living room with an ensuite toilet. It has a sitting area and a separate round dining table. There is a cabinet with a television and the mini fridge. On the other side of the room is another cabinet with the coffee and tea-making set.

Next to the living room is the bedroom. I tried the bed. The mattress is luxuriously soft and comfortable. There is another television set here, so we could watch TV in bed. The two rooms has a door between them, so when we close the door, my wife and I could watch different TVs and different channels at the same time. Having said that, I was too busy enjoying myself in other ways than to watch TV.

Leading out from the bedroom is the wardrobe-cum-study. In the cabinet are the clothes hangers, iron and ironing board. There is also a desk here, so it is easy for me to use my laptop to do some work. The wardrobe leads on a second bathroom, with a toilet, shower and bathtub.

Wayne is a pillar of hospitality. He made us feel so right at home. During our short stay, we dined at the Café, and whenever we felt hungry, we could order anything we wanted from the bar, called Barista. On our first evening, I ordered the grilled chicken while my wife ordered the fish-and-chips. These were served in a bento tray with salad and fries.

Doesn't matter what we ordered at Barista, be it a cappucino, a chicken pie or a milkshake, it was nicely prepared for us. There were at least three different persons at Barista who have served me, and they all made me feel so welcome.

Our three days at Vistana Hotel passed very quickly, that we felt sad when it comes time to leave. We are thankful to Wayne and the whole team at Vistana Hotel Penang for their undiluted hospitality.

Experiencing the Hospitality of Hotels in Penang

Size of rooms and length of swimming pools can be measured, but hospitality can only be experienced. Understanding this, the numerous hotels in Penang have extended to me the opportunity to experience their hospitality so that I can showcase what they offer to guests on this website.
