Iconic Hotel's 2019 Chinese New Year Dining Options (12 January 2019)


Iconic Hotel in Bukit Mertajam is all prepared for the coming Chinese New Year with various dining options. The response has been great right from the start, as satisfied customers from the past year have prebooked their Reunion Dinner at the hotel once again, so much so that by the time it stages its Chinese New Year dining preview, the Reunion Buffet Dinner of 4 February 2019 was already fully booked. Nevertheless, there are other Chinese New Year dining options available at the hotel.

In the run up to Chinese New Year, Iconic Hotel will have the Fortune Buffet Dinner at Mezza9 every Friday and Saturday from 7:00pm to 10:00pm, priced at RM88+ adult and 50% off for child and senior citizen. There is a RM10+ surcharge for 25 & 26 January and 1 & 2 February. There are four different menus for this dinner, highlighting Szechuan,Guangdong, Shandong and Jiangsu cuisines.

For the 2019 Chinese New Year season, Iconic Hotel will be having their Private Reunion Packages from 1 January until 28 February 2019. These are set course dinners: Fortune 8-Course is priced at RM988+ per table, Blessing 8-Course is priced at RM1388+ per table and Supreme 5-Course is priced at RM2388+ per table. The prices do not include 6% SST.

On 5 & 6 February 2019, Iconic Hotel will have a Chinese New Year Buffet Brunch from 12:00 noon to 3:00pm, priced at RM78+ adult and 50% off for child and senior citizen. There will also be a Chinese New Year Buffet Dinner from 7:00pm to 10:00pm priced at RM108+ adult and 50% off for child and senior citizen.

At Crumbles & Cream, there is a Chinese New Year High Tea Set from 1 January to 28 February, from 11:00am to 7:00pm, priced at RM98+ per set. Also at Crumbles & Cream, there is a Chinese Cocktail-Dragon Lotte from 1 January to 28 February priced at RM28+ per set.

In conjunction with Chinese New Year, Iconic Hotel offers the Yee Sang Set with Salmon at RM108+, from 18 January to 19 February 2019. Also available is the Golden Treasures Poon Choi set, at RM888+.

Chinese New Year Dinner Preview

My wife and I were delighted to attend a preview of Iconic Hotel's Chinese New Year dining options yesterday, 12 January, 2018. It was held at the hotel's flagship dining outlet, Mezza9. When we arrived there, we saw that the hall has been decorated with Chinese New Year ornamentation, including adorable Chinese lions festooned to the chandeliers.

There is a large variety of food for the occasion. The emphasis here is Chinese dishes appropriate for the occasion. Let me show you in pictures what we enjoyed that night.
