Arunachal Pradesh is a state on the far northeast corner of India. It is surrounded by the international borders on three sides, with
Bhutan to the west,
China to the north and Myanmar to the east. Arunachal Pradesh also borders Assam and
Nagaland to the south.

Arunachal Pradesh covers 83,743 sq km (32,333 sq mi) and has a population of just over a million people (2011 estimate). The capital and largest city is Itanagar.
How to go to Arunachal Pradesh
Tourists, including Indian nationals, need an Inner Line Permit to visit Arunachal Pradesh. These are obtainable from the Arunachal Pradesh House in New Delhi, Kolkata and Guwahati. The permit is based on any of the three sectors of the state you are visiting.
