View of the Diwan-i-Khas with the silver urns. (6 November, 2004)
The Diwan-I-Khas of Jaipur (GPS: 26.92647, 75.82386) is an open hall in the
City Palace of Jaipur. The Diwan-i-Khas consists of two row of columns with scalloped arches. I visited it when I explored Jaipur with a small group of AsiaExplorers members.
The main attraction at the Diwan-i-Khas of Jaipur are the two massive silver vessels. These pair of silver vessels are figured in the Guinness Book of World Records as the biggest silver vessels in the world. They were used for carrying water from the holy
Ganges for Maharaja Madho Singh II's use during his journey to England.
