Kurukshetra (Hindi: कुरुक्षेत्र) is a city on the southern part of Haryana, India. Formerly part of Punjab, the city is renowned as a holy city and has been mentioned in the Hindu epic of Mahabharata, as the site of the Battle of Kurukshetra (which is also depicted as a gallery in Angkor Wat)
