Palakkad പാലക്കാട് (formerly Palakkattussery) is one of few major cities of Kerala, India, located on the hinterland part of the state. It covers 1,363 sq km (526 sq mi) and is presently the 7th largest city in Kerala.

Planning your trip to Palakkad

Palakkad is 350 km (217 mi) north of Thiruvananthapuram and 49 km (30 mi) southwest of Coimbatore. You can take a flight to Coimbatore and then a bus or train to Palakkad. There are also train services connecting Palakkad with Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Mangalore and Thiruvananthapuram.
