Tinsukia (তিনিচুকীয়া) is a city on the northeastern part of Assam, India. It is located 480 km to the northeast of Guwahati. It has a population of around 108,000 people (2012 estimate).
Tinsukia serves as a centre for agricultural products of Assam, among them tea, oranges, ginger, citrus fruits and rice. The Tinsukia district produces the best quality tea in Assam. This makes it the commercial capital of the state. The scenery surrounding Tinsuka is one of endless tea gardens.
