Lalita Ghat is located north of Dashaswamedh Ghat, right after Man Mandir Ghat and just before Manikarnika Ghat, along the Ganges in Varanasi. There is not much that I can describe about this ghat, except that it is located right next to Manikarnika, the biggest cremation ghat in Varanasi.

There is a Nepalese-style temple at Lalita Ghat. Inside it is an image of Pashupateshvara, which is a manifestation of Shiva at Pashupatinath in Kathmandu. The Mughal influence in Lalita Ghat is apparent with its round towers, called chhatri. The steps leading down to water's edge is pretty narrow. I viewed Lalita Ghat when I went boating in the evening with three other friends. I also passed through it when I explored the banks of the Ganges on my own, in the heat of a blazing November afternoon. The Nepali Temple at Lalita Ghat. (16 November, 2004)
