Menjangan Island is an island off the western tip of Bali. It is famous for being one of the best diving and snorkeling spots in the region. Named after a local species of deer (hence the name of the island is also often translated as Deer Island), Menjangan Island is technically part of
Taman Nasional Bali Barat.
There are eight dive sites located around Menjangan Island. The best is a site known as Anchor Wreck, named after a rusty anchor lodged on the reef.
You can reach Menjangan Island from Labuhan Lalang, the port at the bay of Teluk Terima. Here, you can buy boat tickets to the island from the Department of Forestry.
