Padangtegal is a village on the outskirts of Ubud in Central Bali. It is noted for being the home of a number of Balinese painters and intellecturals. With the Padangtegal area is also the Sacred Monkey Forest and the Pura Dalem Agung Padangtegal.

To the south of Padangtegal is the village of Pengosekan, well known for its painters and woodcarvers. To the east of Padangtegal is Tebesaya while to the west of Pengosekan is Nyuh Kuning, another center of woodcarving.
