Pemuteran the a new resort area in North Bali. It has some of the best white-sand beaches on the north coast. The sea off Pemuteran is also blessed with beautiful coral reefs teeming with tropical fish in every hue and color.

There is a number of dive and snorkeling spots off Pemuteran. There is also a turtle sanctuary here. Pemuteran is a convenient place to lodge if you are going to Menjangan Island.

A short distance to the west of Pemuteran village is a cove called Banyuwedang. Its name means "hot springs", because there are a number of springs located along the shore, believed to have curative powers. These springs are often submerged during high tide. The Mimpi Resort Menjangan is a spa resort that has been built at one of these springs.

About 5 km to the east of Pemuteran is a coastal village called Pura Pulaki. It sits on a ridge where it slopes steeply down into the sea. The temple is yet another associated with the Majapahit priest Dang Hyang Nirartha, who was said to have turned the locals here into gamang or demons.

About this website

Hello and thanks for reading this page. My name is Timothy and my hobby is in describing places so that I can share the information with the general public. My website has become the go to site for a lot of people including students, teachers, journalists, etc. whenever they seek information on places, particularly those in Malaysia and Singapore. I have been doing this since 5 January 2003, for over twenty years already. You can read about me at Discover Timothy. By now I have compiled information on thousands of places, mostly in Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore, and I continue to add more almost every day. My goal is to describe every street in every town in Malaysia and Singapore.
