Jalan Batu MaungJalan Batu Maung (15 September 2012)

Jalan Batu Maung is a main road in Batu Maung, Penang. It connects to the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway and Jalan Permatang Damar Laut at a roundabout interchange, in what was once the village centre, or pekan, of Batu Maung. The other end of Jalan Batu Maung stops at the fence of the Penang International Airport. Originally, Jalan Batu Maung continues from there to reach present-day Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, but a portion of it was expunged for the extension of the airport runway, which resulted in the creation of Jalan Baru Batu Maung (a section of which was also expunged when the runway was again extended). A rump portion of that road is still extant with its junction on Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah.
