Jalan Tun Sardon (9 May 2004)
Jalan Tun Sardon is a hill road in Penang. It was built to cut across the central hill linking
Balik Pulau on the west coast to
Paya Terubong and
Relau on the east coast.
Jalan Tun Sardon was named after the Tun Sardon Jubir, the 4th Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Penang. The road winds its way steeply across the hills. At the crest, there is a viewpoint. From there, one can get a panoramic view of Balik Pulau below.
The
Balik Pulau Bus Terminal was recently built at the Balik Pulau end of Jalan Tun Sardon.
